2. Principle

This website does not use cookies, analytics or tracking services and does not embed third-party content. Personal data is not shared for advertising purposes.

3. Hosting and delivery of the website (Cloudflare)

This website is delivered through the content delivery network of Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend Street, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. When you access the website, Cloudflare processes technically necessary connection data, in particular the IP address, date and time of access, the requested resource, the amount of data transferred and the browser used (user agent). This processing takes place to deliver the website, to ensure its stability and security, and to fend off attacks.

The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in the secure and efficient operation of the website). A data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR is in place with Cloudflare. Insofar as data is transferred to the USA, the transfer is based on the adequacy decision regarding the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, under which Cloudflare is certified. Log data is stored only for as long as necessary for the purposes described.

4. Update check of the WISE-FTP software

The installed WISE-FTP software may check whether a newer program version is available. To do so, it requests a version file from this website. For technical reasons, the IP address of your connection is processed in this context (see section 3); no further data is transmitted and no usage profiles are created. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

5. Contacting us

If you contact us by e-mail or phone, we process the data you provide in order to handle your request (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR, otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). The data is deleted as soon as it is no longer required for handling the request and no statutory retention obligations apply.

6. Your rights

You have the right to access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and to object to processing based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (Art. 21). You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, for example the Hessian Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information (Hessischer Beauftragter für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit).

7. Changes to this policy

We will update this privacy policy whenever the legal situation or this website changes. The version published here applies.
